Roundtable Topic

Enabling Dynamic Data Planning for an Agile Energy Workforce
How modern network and asset planning can evolve to meet the challenges of today’s data-driven environment.

When: 8:00am – 10:00am, Wednesday 10 September, 2025

Where: EEA Conference, Te Pae, Christchurch (venue room TBC)

Overview

As electrical networks become more complex and demand greater flexibility, traditional planning methods are being stretched.

In this roundtable, hosted by dataengine in collaboration with Counties Energy and Snowflake, we’ll explore how dynamic data strategies and semantic modeling can support an agile, informed, and future-ready workforce across engineering, asset management, and IT domains.

This session will be led by John Martin, Chief Architect at Counties Energy and mediated by Akash Jattan, CEO at dataengine to foster a practical discussion around:

  • How planning and decision-making are impacted by today’s operational and regulatory environment
  • Anticipating the data and system changes that will shape the next generation of network planning
  • The potential of semantic models to bridge gaps across domains and systems
  • Technological pathways to making data more actionable and interoperable
